magento-vs-ocommerce

Magento vs osCommerce

When it comes to choosing the best ecommerce platform for our clients, we try to take all factors into consideration, from design right through to the payment gateways. The leading two ecommerce platforms in our eyes are Magento and osCommerce. They offer a huge database of add-ons, which massively increase the functionality when it comes to building an e-commerce website.

Magento or osCommerce? We have to go with Magento simply because we feel that the software is just that tiny bit ahead at the moment, meaning better quality / functionality for our clients. Magento is great visually and is very efficient to work with. For more information about ecommerce web design go to our ecommerce page.

PAID PROMOTION HAS TO BE DONE PROPERLY

Today was proof that Google has no bounds when it comes to punishing web spammers.

It punished itself.

Google Chrome was punished for paying another company to promote Chrome through a series of videos when paying ANOTHER company to blog about it and link to Google Chrome. This is yet another example of why companies have to be on the ball when it comes to paying for links and content. Having a SEO Consultant who is up to date with the ins and outs of SEO is very important.

Google Instant

Google have recently released a new update to their search engine called Google Instant. We’re sure that you have all had a go with the new search feature since Google didn’t provide the option of sticking with the standard search, although once you have performed a search you do then get the chance to switch the Instant search off. Alternatively you can sign into your Google account and switch Instant off through the settings page.

Google Instant enhances your search, making it smarter and faster. As you type into the search box Google performs multiple searches, predicting what you’re looking for without you having to take the extra milliseconds to click Search or press Enter.  You will either love it or hate it, we haven’t come to a final conclusion just yet. Type (33*15)/9 into Google… at least you won’t need to worry about having a calculator any more.
